Fenway Park is on my short list of favorite places in the entire world. If you're a baseball fan, there's simply no better place to be, to experience the game, and to surround yourself with the history of it all. Every baseball fan has 'a visit to Fenway Park' on their bucket list and I'm so incredibly thankful to have it be our home ballpark. It just doesn't get any better than The Fens!
We had some time to kill before the gates opened so after dropping some $$ in the team store, we walked around for a bit...
Ryan and one of his best friends
Emily is such a ham... there is no one in this world that can make me laugh like she does
Teddy Ballgame statue
I legit want this door and that brick for my house
Then it was time for some ballpark food and the game to start...
Very emotional first pitches by the family of Sean Collier... Sean is the MIT police officer who was killed in the line of duty in April during the massive search for the Boston bomber
I glanced over to home plate and spotted Tim Wakefield and my all-time favorite Red Sox pitcher, Pedro Martinez... I was a happy girl!
Manny Machado on deck
Of course I
drooled over got to watch my main man Jacoby Ellsbury...
Perfect night spent at the ballpark! Great end-of-summer weather, autographs from one of their favorites, lots of laughter with my girl, good food, a Red Sox win, and the umpire gave both of the boys a game used ball after the game! Hard to beat a night like that at Fenway!
