Custom Calendar - Sharing My Loves on Valentine's Day

I am a picture-holic. I take a lot of pictures, pictures of my kids playing, participating in sports, just being kids. My computer is full of those pictures, all neatly organized into folders by category and date. My kids? They have the photo bug too. More often than not when they're playing on the computer, they'll get sidetracked by looking through those folders of photos. They love re-living their memories through pictures, as do I. After all, isn't that what pictures are for?

One of the best times to break out all the pictures from the previous 12 months is the start of a new year. A calendar. A personalized calendar with my own pictures. Not only do I get to see pictures of my kids' faces every day when I glance at the calendar, I get to re-live the memories of the year gone by.

This year I made a calendar using MailPix.com for the first time and it was not only the easiest photo project that I've ever created online, but it also gave me the most options allowing this girl who is not so creative to pretend like I really was!

Birthday month? Pics of the birthday child, of course, complete with adding their special day to the calendar so no one forgets. (I never forget, obviously, but that little reminder is nice for some family members!) I got to choose the layout for each month, using what worked best for the pictures I wanted to include.

Summer months? I included pictures from the summer. Fall? I included pictures from the fall. So many different backgrounds to choose from and colors to vary each month... I can't express how surprised (and pleased!) I was at how many choices I had while making this calendar. I make a lot of photo projects and this was, hands down, the site that gave me the most bang for my buck, so to speak.
