What A Difference A Day Makes

Now I'm not saying that Ipsy themed it's January Glam Bag after me but I'm not saying they didn't either. After being a little grumpy lately and sharing my struggles with you yesterday, I went to the mailbox and my Glam Bag was there. The first thing I pulled out? That post card above. I cried. She's a big star. A true star will always shine. There's a theme here people and yes I may have stooped so low as to find inspiration from a damn beauty bag subscription but at this point in the game, I'll take inspiration any where I can get it!

For those of you not familiar with Ipsy, it's just like Birchbox only a million times better and actually worth your $10/month. I've thought about canceling my subscription only because I'm really trying to build up my savings this year and even though it's only $10/month, that's still an extra $120 that could be in my savings account at the end of the year.. BUT, the products are so good and so useful that I'm keeping it! It's such a nice treat each month and since they went ahead and themed a whole bag after me so I'll keep it!

I sincerely can't thank you guys enough for your kind comments and e-mails yesterday... it was truly overwhelming. You totally pulled me out of my slump and I am so grateful. Despite the two donuts I had for breakfast yesterday, I stayed on track the rest of the day and even got a good run in last night and it made such a difference... I felt so good and so on track. So many of you are rooting for me and I'm rooting for you too!

So with my new found confidence after yesterday, guess what I did this morning? I'll give you a hint...

Holy shit I signed up for my first 5K! I'm a 5K virgin but they've always been on my bucket list and I knew this would be the first one I signed up for. It's through our local Minor League Baseball team and it's on Mother's Day so it couldn't be more perfect. My kids are going to run in the kids race too! It's four months away and I'm super excited... and nervous. I'm never nervous but let me tell you, I'm nervous about this! I can't wait though, I'm proud of myself already and I haven't even done it yet!
