Weekend Recap

Oh hey, happy Monday friends... I'm feeling a bit cranky this morning and I really have no reason to. Well, that's a lie. My morning was going just fine until I got a severe case of Monday morning Mommy guilt. That's always fun. Ryan came down with a pretty serious sounding cold last night... poor kid was miserable so I did what any mom would do. I drugged him up the best I could and hoped for a good nights sleep and a better feeling Ryan in the morning. He has really bad allergies so sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between his allergies and a cold, but this time? We could both tell he was coming down with something. When he got up this morning, he looked and sounded a tiny bit better, but not much. He really needed to go to school today because they're having testing, and honestly? I really shouldn't take a sick day from work this early in the year. So I'm at work and he's at school, most likely feeling like garbage and suffering through his day when he really should be home, snuggled up in bed, with his mom making him chicken soup for lunch. That mom guilt? It's horrible.

Moving on... how was your weekend? Mine was fine, but really there's not much to report because it was so low-key. Friday night Ryan had a baseball game, and then ended up staying for the next game too because one of the teams was short of players and asked him if he'd stay and play on their team. So our Friday night consisted of over four hours at the indoor baseball field.

Saturday afternoon the kids went with their dad for the night so I went grocery shopping, took a nap, prepared meals for the week ahead, drank some Pink Moscato and rented Magic Mike. Let me just tell you, nothing makes you feel like more of a loser than when you have a free Saturday night and you spend it at home watching Magic Mike.
I'm not sorry though... I mean, Channing Tatum. And those moves...

Jesus Christ that boy can move. And those lips. He's yummy and definitely makes the top 5 cut for my Hump Island. Right behind this guy...
Sunday I cleaned the house, did laundry, and ran errands. Exciting stuff, huh?! I wish I had some more exciting things to post but I'd be lying if I said my weekend was anything more than completely boring!

I feel like I am the only woman left in the world who has not seen Magic Mike!! I need to correct this!

You're definitely not the only one Rachel... this weekend was the first time I saw it! It's definitely not going to win any Oscars but it was quality entertainment just the same! ;)

I'm so sorry about your morning. I know exactly how you feel. Mommy guilt is the worst :( Being a working mother sucks! Why can't we just stay home and be rich!?!
