You know that feeling you get when the music is really good? Like you can't turn it up loud enough, like you can't get close enough to the music? That's how I feel when I listen to Kip Moore's album Up All Night. This album has been out for almost a year now so I guess I'm a little late to the game, but oh my goodness, better late than never. I listen to this album every.single.day. and there isn't a track that I skip... it's that good. If I could give you all $10 to go get this album I totally would... I hate that some of you may be missing out on some seriously good country music!
Old faithful. I'm still listening to David Nail's The Sound of a Million Dreams album just as much as I did when it first came out over a year ago. Everything I just said about Kip? It goes for David too. His voice is just so raw and so moving and it makes it really easy for me to get lost in the music.
It's no secret that I love Jason Aldean... my iPod is filled with his music and his latest album, Night Train, is no exception. Another raw voice that soothes me mixed with music that I can relate to and I'm hooked. Thank goodness for this man's music!
Those are the three that I'm shuffling between right this very moment... if they're not in your playlist, they totally need to be!

Speaking of country music, did you guys hear about Dierks Bentley and his dog, Jake, the other day? Oh my goodness, I was a mess. If you know Dierks, if you've met Dierks, if you've even just heard one of Dierks' songs, you know how much he adores his dog. That dog is just as much a part of him as his own arm. I was so sad for Dierks when I read his Twitter update Sunday night saying Jake was missing. Awful awful awful. The story had a happy ending though which you can read about on Dierks' Twitter timeline. It'll warm your heart and make you shed a few

And because I hadn't shed enough tears yesterday over Dierks and his dog, this little ditty showed up on Facebook last night. It's a new PSA that Kenny Chesney posted for the non-profit group Music & Memory, which takes music players and puts them in the hands of Alzheimer's patients. This video (seriously, take time to watch it!) shows how patients react to the music and it is incredible. With all of the gadgets we all have hanging around the house these days, I bet there are plenty of spare music players that could be put in the hands of people who could use them. Absolutely incredible.
